GRAB IT HERE! Well on my first official post in 3 months I thought I'd post a tune that means a lot to me. It's not terribly rare and you can find it on any Small Faces comp but I consider this tune to be one of my favourite songs of all time. I had mentioned in an earlier post that I spent a number of years in the Mod scene during the late 80's. The Small Faces were THE mod band for our scene and I always felt I connected with Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane on some level....maybe it was the drugs...hmmm...I don't know. However the band remains today in my top 10 list and Marriotts flavour of blue-eyed soul has never been duplicated in my humble opinion. This track is post-mod era (1967), but the build up is fantastic.........check it out!
Hi Guys (and Gals), Okay, so after a very long break from this here blogger thing, I've returned. I had a bunch of problems with my computer and decided I'd take a much needed break. I feel refreshed and hopefully I'l have some goodies for your listening pleasure posted in the next day or so. Just to keep you in the loop, my Fiance and I are currently looking for Our first home, so this may cause future interruptions with posts. I apologize in advance. I've been reading through the mail and posts I've received over the past months and I thank you all for your kind words. I even heard from the lead singer of the Invictas (which I will post about soon). I'll try to add links to everyones blogs as well......phew, I guess I have a lot of work to do.
